Good Afternoon.

The sun is out, the thermometer is up and all is green and growing outside.
Of course that means that I have to tend to it all.......that's OK.  That means warmth and no coats!  ...Open windows and fresh air in the house   ...Hanging clothes on the line (if stops raining)   ...And summer crafting.    Well, anytime is crafting time, but summer crafting I can include more patriotic themes.   Love the 4th of July!
...pic of my new house color for the summer....
....Aren't they doing a great job so far?   (lol)
( I have to give credit to Pinned from KILZ Paint and Primers for this one)
Looks pretty darn close to the real thing.
Anyway.....
Crafting
Well, I think I have been doing a good amount.   My new favorite things are mini albums and re-purposed note books....love them!   And so easy to do if you don't have a Cinch....oh I have one of them now.....post on that to come....but....
All you do is buy composition notebooks from the dollar store (I use The Dollar Tree) or Walli World and cover them with all sorts of stuff.   What ever suits you!   Here are a few I just did for Mother's Day for my sister, myself and mom---in that order.

Love them!  So easy to do.
Gotta go for now.

Mini Album with May 2013 WebstersPages.com kit

Here is a video I did yesterday of the mini album I made.   I used the Sprinkles kit I got from WebstersPages.com along with lots of things from my stash.
It is waiting for journaling and photos...or a new home depending on if I give it away or not.
Be well.

Oh the places we will go....

Good Morning
It is a cool Saturday here, but the sun looks like it might shine today.  I have cleaned the top of my crafting table (last night) and it is ready for creativity.
I also was reading about the Manchester Scrapbooking Convention coming up next week in New Hampshire.  I did not know they advertise for helpers to work and volunteer at the convention.  .....I applied to a couple of them.   How cool would that be?  Earn money and play with crafts!  We'll see.  They also have a volunteer page, so if I don't hear back from the vendors to work, I can volunteer to help and get free stuff.  Who doesn't like free stuff?  And from Creating Keepsakes?!

Off to play.  Maybe cards, scrapbooking, mini albums---liking those these days.  Have a scraptabulous day!

I'm baaaack

It's a good day when the sun is out.

I haven't posted in a long while, I know, but I'm back and hopefully to post every few days or at least once a week.  Lord knows I'm on this blessed computer enough!

Firstly, God bless the folks in Boston.  My prayers are with those folks that were injured or near the bombs that went off and especially for the lives lost.   A terrible thing on such a day--the Boston Marathon and Patriots Day.

On a lighter note,  crafting has been good.  I covered 4 composition notebooks--with different types of media, and made one mini album----so far.
They are for my son, Christian to give away as prizes and gifts for his poetry slam coming up this Thursday April 18.
Go if you can to support the local artists.

Also working on other things.....spring cleaning, yard work now that the weather is sloooowly getting warmer,  crochet projects----to name a few.
Another thing I am thinking about is a post I found on Facebook.....
from Spellbinders:
It is a big challenge, but a really wonderful one.  Talk about having to rev up the creativity dial!   Am I up to it?  It is more than just making a few things---more like a creative job----truly a dream job.   Thinking...thinking....

Off for now, to take a nap, have to work tonight---
bye.
